Our story

We built the prep folder we kept wishing we had.

The Campaign Folder started as one GM's messy pile of “notes that actually helped at the table” — and the quiet realization that the folder was the product.

It started with a pile of good notes

Like you, we ran sessions that sang — then lost the best bits. A perfect villain buried in an old chat, a plot thread on a napkin, a map we could not find at 7pm. The ideas were fine. The storage was the problem.

So we built a folder, not a rulebook

We are not here to sell you a hundred pages of GM theory you will never read. We built the smallest system that turns scattered brilliance into a campaign you can run with confidence: a folder, a naming habit, and the handful of templates worth keeping.

A game map, not a straitjacket

One principle runs through everything: enough structure to run the night with confidence, never so much that it railroads the fun. The folder points the way and bends when your players surprise you. Keep real personal details out of shared notes; keep the story in.

Independent and system-neutral by design

No venture funding, no growth-hack newsletter, no account to create. Just a calm tool made by people who got tired of losing their own good prep — and fixed it, for any game you run.

Disclaimer: The Campaign Folder is a game-prep organizing tool for tabletop RPGs. It is unofficial and system-neutral; keep any real personal details out of your shared campaign notes.
